Songbird Serenade - Crafty Meraki IG hop and New Release

Hi crafty friends!!
It's the new release day at Crafty Meraki  and we are celebration on Instagram with an Ig hop to give you the chance to win amazing prizes!
Don't miss up this and go on my Ig account @nicolettaporcu.design.
But now let me share the card I made for the occasion:

To make my card I started by using the Songbird Serenade Press-tacular plate as a stamp. I inked it with Betterpress black ink and I pressed the image on a piece of Neenah Solar white paper.
Next up using the coordinate Songbird Serenade Layering stencils, I ink blended the image using Distress and Oxide inks.

Here the colors I used:
Leaves: Speckled Egg and Broken China Distress ink
Flowers: Antique Linen and Mustard Seed Distress ink, Fossilised Amber Distress Oxide ink
Soongbird: Speckled Egg,  Broken China, Antique Linen, Kitch flamingo, Mustard Seed , Wilted Violet Distress ink, Fossilized Amber  and Black Soot Distress Oxide ink, Charming Pink Versafine Clair.
Atyou Spica Glitter gel pens and white gel pen.

I die cut the image with the Songbird Serenade coordinating die set and then I started to think about the background and the base card.

I lightly ink blended the base card center using  the Speckled Egg Distress ink and then I sprayed  over some pink and white ink.
Next up I framed in white the background using the Frame-Whorty Meraki Background A2 die cut and I glued it on the card using foam tape to add dimension.

At that point I added all the images I previously colored and die cut. I glued some blue leaves in the base card and the main image composed by flowers and songbird on the frame using foam glue dots,

As a last thing I added the little thank you sentiment I stamped using the  Songbird Serenade Stamp set and that's it!!

Here the products' recap:

Hope you like my inspiration card and hope to see many of you in our IG Hop!
You could find all products I used on  Crafty Meraki   shop.

Sealed With A Penguin Kiss

Hi crafty friends!

I'm here today  with a new card to share with you, featuring the new Press Plates Release!

I'm absolutely in love with BetterPress plates... You can use them to impress, to stamp, to hot foil and to emboss , and they work great !

This is card I made with them:

To make this card I  used the Abstract Background Press plate; in this case I used it as a stam. I placed it on theBetterPress, I inked it with Versamark ink , then I run it through my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine to press the image into the cardstock. Next up  I embossed it in white using a white fine embossing powder.

Next up I placed the embossed paper on a sticky mat and  using the Abstract Background stencil set, and  Distress Oxide ink, I blended the image creating  colourful waves. At this point I die cut the Abstract Background , using a rectangle die from the Nested Scalloped Frames die set and I glued it on white card base.

I continued by using the Endless Hearts die to die cut a multi layer white heart to glue in the top center of the card.   Over the heart I place two cute penguin  and the white embossed roses I stamped and die cut using the Penguin Love Stamp set and his coordinate dies. To color the penguins I used Copic markers and   Distress Oxide inks for the roses.

To complete my card I added the sentiments; the big one made using the Love & XOXO die set, and the string one using a sentiment form the

Penguin Love Stamp set.

And that's it!

Hope I gave you some idea about the use of this beautiful press plates!

Thank you for stopping by,
